From Athicode to Bangalore — A Story of Grit.

John Benedict grew up in Athicode, a peaceful village in Palakkad, Kerala — helping his parents graze cows, selling milk and mangoes to fund his own education. Every rupee his parents earned went toward his studies. That unconditional love and sacrifice didn't just pay fees; it shaped a leader who never forgets where he came from.

A proud alumnus of St. Joseph's College, Trichy — an institution known for giving high-quality, affordable education to students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds — John completed his MCA and launched his career at Cognizant in 2008 as a Program Analyst.

Public Service & Legacy

The Man Behind RERA Karnataka.

In 2014, John moved to Bangalore — carrying a 20-lakh debt and a heart full of hope. He joined the National e-Governance Project and later became part of the State e-Mission Team for the Karnataka Government, working alongside High Court Judges, Advocate Generals, IAS Officers, Ministers, and senior Bureaucrats.

He is one of the very few professionals to have worked across all three pillars of the Indian Government — the Legislature, the Executive, and the Judiciary. This rare vantage point gave him a deep understanding of law, governance, and institutional trust.

John was the IT & Operations Head of RERA Karnataka — starting work on the portal even before the rules were officially framed. His expertise in e-Courts, quasi-judicial departments, tribunals, law and revenue departments shaped a world-class regulatory platform grounded in the principles of Ease of Doing Business and Open Government Data. The real estate industry recognised this with a title he wears with pride: RERA John.

The Entrepreneurial Leap

Inspired by his mentor Mahatria during one of the HDB sessions, John made the bold decision to leave his Government career and step into entrepreneurship with a clear, uncompromising vision: every rupee that enters our account should be happy money — no client should ever feel stuck with us.

Over the past 7 years, Marrian Infra has grown from a 2-member team to a 40+ strong family, delivering 100% customer satisfaction across every project. The company is now on a purposeful path toward an IPO, with the Mi-1000 Cr milestone firmly in sight.

John leads not just a business — but a movement built on trust, transparency, and the belief that people always come before profit.
