About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Legal to support the Legal function across real estate transactions, land and property matters, contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance and legal risk management. The role will work closely with the Deputy General Manager – Legal and business teams to ensure legally sound and commercially practical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the DGM – Legal in developing legal strategies, processes and governance frameworks.
  • Provide legal advice to business teams on transactions, projects and operational matters.
  • Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Lead and oversee title verification and legal due diligence for land and property transactions.
  • Review property documents, title records, encumbrances and related documentation.
  • Support land acquisition, property transactions and project-related legal requirements.
  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements, MOUs, Sale Deeds, JDAs, POAs, leases and commercial contracts.
  • Ensure contracts comply with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitor contract review, approval and execution processes.
  • Manage litigation, arbitration, legal notices and dispute-resolution matters.
  • Coordinate with external advocates and law firms on case strategy, documentation and progress.
  • Track important legal deadlines and ensure timely action.
  • Monitor applicable real estate, property, RERA and other statutory requirements.
  • Advise departments on regulatory requirements and compliance risks.
  • Keep the management updated on significant legal and regulatory developments.
  • Manage and coordinate with law firms, advocates, consultants and legal experts.
  • Liaise with government authorities, registration offices and regulatory bodies when required.
  • Lead, mentor and guide Managers, Senior/Junior Legal Associates and other legal team members.
  • Allocate responsibilities and review the quality and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Build effective legal processes and ensure accountability within the team.
  • Maintain legal trackers covering contracts, litigation, notices, property matters and compliance.
  • Prepare legal risk, litigation and compliance reports for the DGM – Legal and senior management.
  • Work closely with TDR, LAQ, Projects, Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR and other departments.

Required Skills

  • 9–14 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong experience in Real Estate, Property Law, Corporate Law and Commercial Transactions.
  • Proven experience in contracts, litigation, legal due diligence and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of RERA and applicable real estate regulations.
  • Experience managing external advocates, law firms and legal consultants.
